GSX22-Solving The Increase In Societal Crime Issues through Physical Security Design

We have seen a recent dramatic increase in “smash and grab,” violent and petty crimes hit retailers worldwide and in places where we live, work, shop, and play. There are many theories as to why this is happening. But security professionals tend to agree that fresh ideas and new creative approaches are needed to keep people safe. This panel discussion, comprised of diverse experts with varied security industry knowledge and skills, will explore the societal impacts of such factors as legislation, supply chain shortages, the closing of retail stores, and loss of jobs, and will specifically focus upon how security practitioners can and must effectively address these new crime patterns through security design and effective security solutions.
